When you place a credit card order, your credit card is authorized by GainSaver. When your order is shipped, the card is charged. Your credit card is never charged until after your order has actually left the warehouse.
A word about credit card authorizations
Any time you place a credit card order on the internet, with GainSaver or any other company, your credit card is authorized for the purchase amount. This lets the seller know your credit card is valid. The authorization process also puts a hold on your card for the purchase amount. The card is only charged when your order is shipped.
Credit card authorizations can sometimes cause confusion. Some online banking websites list authorizations as “Pending Transactions” so they appear to be charges - even though they are not. You should call your bank if you have any questions about the status of a credit card transaction. They can help you.
If you cancel your GainSaver order, your card is not charged and the authorization is automatically voided and removed. However, it can sometimes take a few days for the authorization to be removed from your credit card.
GainSaver cannot remove the hold placed on your card, because we authomatically void the authorization. Only you can do it. To have the hold removed immediately, call your credit card company. The phone number to call is on the card. Just let them know the order is cancelled and they will remove the hold for you.
You can also print a copy of your GainSaver order and fax it to your credit card company for verification of the cancellation. The printed order says "Cancelled" on it.
